Doll Restoration

Victoria is a china doll bust that was dug up in the garden of a family home in Kington. I was commissioned to make her a new body and dress inspired by how she would have looked and been made originally. Victoria is approximately 20cms tall and has a stuffed fabric body with beaded hands and feet to weigh them down. My client asked for her to have a colourful countryside look and be enticing for her grandchildren. She has a handmade blouse, petticoat and apron dress with lace up boots and a found basket full of hand-sculpted apples and a mushroom.
